Join the contest SubscribeNorth or south of DC? Many years ago we used to fish for small mouth in the Potomac just south of the Blue Plains treatment plant!! Launched from GW Pkwy on VA side. Lots of fish, used spinners and plastic worms....but of course we wouldn't try to eat any of them (I think they'd glow in the dark haha).43” and 43 lb blue in the Potomac near dc. Great catch! I'm glad you're encouraging the boys.My sons 2 best for the year so far.
I used to think that carp were only good for bowfishing. I was wrong, that is a fish that is sporting as hell. Your tackle and the type of knots you use need to be dialed in when going after them.we don’t eat them, we fish on the va side from DCA to occoquan, occasionally in the tidal basin. We haven’t done much bass we should try. Shad are fun and about to be here here’s a couple more. That’s about the biggest carp I’ve seen
Dude how did that monster not break your pole?!Caught my personal best a few weeks ago when I took my son and nephew.
