Nickel plated timney trigger?

What does the nickel plating do for the trigger?
This is specific to the 510.

I emailed timney and I am waiting a response, but I wanted to see if anyone knew off the top of their heads.

Either way, I'll post what they have to say.

A little rust prevention is all I would say, I wasn't that impressed with the coverage and quality of the plating but it has worn good for the last 2 years of sweat, rain, mud, snow, and blood and hasn't worn off.

Figured it was something like that. I ordered one from Brownells but I'll still post the email as well as a quick review.
