Does anyone know if a nightforce unimount at the 1.125 height will clear with a 50 mm scope on an AR with handguard rail at the same height as the receiver?

Primarily, this optic and mount combo will be used with an apex handguard with no top rail (giving me extra clearance), but I would like the ability to use it on another AR occasionally that has a handguard with a top rail.

I calculated it out, and it will be close. 1.125 over the rail to center of optic, minus .984 inches gives .141 of clearance. However, that doesn't take into account the 20moa down angle of the mount. Anyone that has tried this combo or might know, feel free to chime in. Thank you!!

ETA: the optic being used will be the SWFA 5-20. My calc assumed the outer diameter is exactly 50 mm, which it probably is not. I don't have the scope yet to check it myself.

No, it will be too low for the full flat top. I just mounted a 50mm NF with the high NF Unimount (1.375) on a full top rail AR and there is less than .25 clearance between the bell and the top of the rail.

The 1.375 Unimount is right at AR sight height, and will tend to give the best cheek weld in most cases.

For an AR flat top platform, minimum height rings to mount a 50mm is 1.265" and 1.375" for the 56mm's

The 1.125 UniMount works well for the NF Compacts, but in my opinion is too low for the straight line stock design of the AR Platform. I cannot get my head behind the rifle. 1.375" is the lowest that I can get my head behind.
