Rifle Scopes NightForce 2.5-10X42 with Mildot Reticle Something Special?

Is there something special about the NightForce 2.5-10x42mm NXS Illuminated Compact Riflescope with the Mildot C488 reticle?

I know NightForce discontinued the reticle, but it's been a couple years since I saw a used one for sale, and I cannot even find any archived sales ads for them on any of the gun boards. When I do an internet search, I get the typical Optics Planet, EuroOptics, etc. Out of Stock or Product is Discontinued pages.

I have an NXS 2.5-10x32 Mil Dot

I considered the Mil-R reticle but it was difficult to read quickly. I imagine its easier to read at 14 or 15x.

A plain old mil dot is enough for a general purpose scope, which is what I think the the 2.5-10 excels at being.
