Anyone got any real world use on one of these with a rifle yet? I'm thinking about getting one of these for my SRS. Seems like a good deal for features and price point.

    Covert is as Covert does.

Plenty of good feedback on the scout site.

We've got 4 of them between us. overall not a bad tripod. Not as stable as my Fiesol but it's more compact. One has had the glue holding part of the lower centre column to the screw attachment come loose but it was a easy fix. My main issue with it is the clamp on the ball head isn't an Arca Swiss style so all my other plates and RRS adapter on my AX doesn't work.

We swapped the clamp on one of them over to a SunwayFoto arca clamp which works well although makes it not fold down quite as well but my personal one the allen head attaching the clamp to the ball head stripped trying to remove it and thus far I haven't been able to get it off. I might have to return the ball head. So that I can use it I swapped it over to a different ball head but that somewhat defeats the purpose of buying the complete tripod/system.

The legs coming off to use as hiking poles/monopod is a cool feature and overall i'm pretty happy with it for the price. Really just wish they had gone with the Arca style clamp.

Gonna bump this up as I'd like to hopefully hear more about this tripod. I'm in the market for a decent tripod for my spotting scope and I honestly don't know shit about what's good and what isn't. I do know I'd like a head with the smooth panning motion, carbon fiber would be nice for lighter weight (hunting purposes) but not required, and able to handle up to 15-17 lbs of weight.

This NF tripod looks like it checks a lot of boxes but I have only found a couple if actual reviews on it, so am hesitant. I was thinking if going with a Sirui (spelling...?) Or Manfrotto head and just throwing it on a Vanguard tripod.

Any other reviews or thoughts from folks that know about decent tripods/heads, would be greatly appreciated!!!

I had the same exact problem. I called night force for some plates and they said they didn't sell them. What? how do you not sell a plate to support your product? They told me they could get me the phone number of a local machinist to make me one?!? seriously...
Anybody want to buy a night force tripod set up?
