I think the mounting plate is titanium, and the cross bolt is grade 8 steel. I could be wrong though.
Nope scratch that, it’s titanium with the ultralights. Grade 8 is used in their all steel rings.

They fit better to him. Fit and finish are in the eye of the beholder. The other stuff like clamping force and no movement and return to zero are facts.

NF rings are 3 point STANAG spec rings. Some rings like geissele are 4 point picatinny spec. They both work fine.
