There is not a new rev on the cross bolt. That’s how they all are from NF.
It doesn’t matter because even if it was half that thick it is titanium and something else would break before it sheered off.
They have a mount that has lugs machines into them that fit “better” if that’s how you want to look at it.

I think the mounting plate is titanium, and the cross bolt is grade 8 steel. I could be wrong though.

Nope scratch that, it’s titanium with the ultralights. Grade 8 is used in their all steel rings.

Yes, all that is fact, including them feeling better to me. Nothing will change that, but a updated cross bolt. There is none, so I’m going to work thru these hard times.

I get what the OP thinking is. Weaver had both "Weaver" style mount rings and
picatinny rings. The difference was the crossbar. Both would fit a picatinny rail.

Hard to tell in the pictures but there you go.

I bought a set used and they are set up for weaver rails, can I rotate the lug and it fit tighter on a pic rail? Maybe a updated cross bolt lug?

NF rings are 3 point STANAG spec rings. Some rings like geissele are 4 point picatinny spec. They both work fine.
