Nightforce nx8 illumination turning on under recoil?

Well I took my hunting rifle up to the range to check zero and the illumination would turn on after every shot. It's not a heavy recoiling rifle, 7lb bare 300wsm, but I'm curious if this is common or not.

Scope is a nx8 2.5-20.

Its happened with mine, several times. Nx8, 4-32x50 F1. Was on a 10# 300 norma at the time. Dont recall it happening with the 65prc its atop now.

Hum, 1 case could be an "aberration" but 2 cases could be a pattern ! I have an nx8 2.5-20x and have had no issues, but it hasn't been on a magnum. No longer have any field ready magnums. Have a nx8 1-8x on order.

Was curious if it was common. I don't remember it happening before, but took a couple of times of shutting the illumination off after shooting to realize what was going on.
