Nightforce X-Treme Duty - Ultralite Unimount

Putting together some builds and will be using Nightforce NX8 and Nightforce ATACR 1-8x24 scopes. All will be mounted on Mil. Std. 1913 (picatinny) flat top receivers. 2 builds in 5.56mm using NX8, 1 in .300BLK using NX8 and 1 in 7.62 using the ATACR. Tempted to just use the Nightforce X-Treme Duty Unimount's (A221's and A357) and call it a day or do I spend the extra coin on Spuhr (would use SP-3616 for the NX8's and SP-4616 for the ATACR). I know the reputation of the Spuhr mounts but checking to see what the Hides experience has been with the Nightforce mounts. Any real world use on the Nightforce mounts greatly appreciated, they run about half the cost of the Spuhr's. All firearms will see light to medium use. Thanks!

I love my Nighforce UniMounts. I also like the Giessele unimounts. Cant go wrong. Buy either in confidence. I really like the Giessele mount that is made for SR25's on large frame gas guns. It's sized perfectly for the larger gas guns and looks and works very well.

It's an absolutely solid mount, screws do come loose overtime unless you loctite them

The only mount I've never had issues with screws coming loose on is ARC M10 rings

The only issue I have with NF unimount at all, is that the resale is not very good

With torque wrench and proper installation, absolutely repeatable and can be used between different guns

Ive been using unimounts for 10 years now, and they have been perfect. I recently got a mag mount and it too is great. They are made really well, and certainly mate with NF scopes perfectly. Light weight too.

I have several Nightforce Unimounts and would recommend them without reservation. As stated above, if installed properly and at the correct torque specs, they hold zero if removed and replaced on a rifle with no issue. They are a lighter, high quality alternative to the heavier (and more expensive) Spuhr mounts, which I also run.

You obviously mounting a high quality scope. If these rfles are high quality receivers with really nice parts, I'd go with Spuhr on total appearance of the rifle. Spuhr mounts outclass everything out there in appearance and function.
