A few months ago I bought a Nighthawk Custom AAC. Outstanding gun and by far all time favorite firearm.

Last week I picked up a Nighthawk .22 conversion from my local shop. It was pricey at 425.00 and looks pretty damn close to other 1911 conversions. The setup was designed by Bob Marvel, so I figured it was a safe bet. I was right. At 50 ft it cut a .75 inch group. It is extremely reliable. I tested it with subsonics, Eley, and super velocity. ran everything fine with zero malfunctions. The gun was quick to sight in with adjustable sights. The conversion goes on the gun in about 1 minute without rushing. It comes with the barrel/slide assembly, slide catch and pin, and a take down tool/installation tool and one magazine, all packaged in the same pistol bag the Nighthawk Custom 1911s come in.
All and all I am impressed, it was more expensive than other conversions but worth it for the accuracy and reliability.

yes they did. They had s problem with slide cracking. They have cured it though with some added material and some changes. They really stepped up on it to make sure no one had a bad slide.

I just ordered mine a week ago and am expecting brown santa to deliver mine. I have been waiting for a while for them to get the design fixed as I have been chomping at the bit for one. It is supposed to be a little bit fatter than the factory slide and they also added a plastic buffer like you can get for the 10/22's.

I have no fear buying from Nighthawk after they pulled all those slides. That had to cost them a lot of money but they did it anyways. Good for them.

I love my Marvel conversion !! I have not myself duplicated it by my friend who sold me the conversion shot a 3 inch group at 50 yrd in a bullseye stance . The Marvel conversions are designed for standard velocity and with any 22 handgun you will always see better accuracy with standard . Mine also loves European match ammo like Eley and wolf

Are you going to shoot any bullseye with this gun ?

did a little shoot with it last week. It shot great. easy to install and seems to be very high quality. Need to lube it a little bit as it felt a little "gritty" on the slide. Nothing that won't smooth up though. I ran my entire list of .22 ammo through this thing and I will tell you one thing. All of the target ammo did shoot well but it ALL had a lot of smoke on firing and in doing so gave a little trouble on fast follow up shots. My powerpoints once again seem to always come to the rescue and shoot very well in every single .22 I have not matter rifle or pistol. Not a lot of smoke either. I will have to do a little range report.
