The first thing I want to say is, Nighthawk custom has the best customer service I have ever had from any firearm company. Wonderful people to talk to and very easy to deal with.
Back story
I ordered this holster about 2 months ago from Nighthawk, ordered over the phone, they told me between 3 and 4 weeks. About week 5 I Emailed for an order status, I was a little worried since I was never charged. They write me back and had apparently misplaced my order. Tim from Nighthawk assures me they will make it right and put a rush on one right now. 2 weeks later my holster shows up, no invoice, no charge. 168.00 holster no frickin charge. WOW. I wrote a big thank you letter. Great guys over there.

The holster itself is very nice, good quality leather, very stiff and rigid. Fits the gun perfectly, the sights don't have as much room as I prefer but that's a bit nit picky. great retention, sits well on the hip. Overall I would rate it a 9 out of 10. Well worth what they would have charged.
The model of this holster is the "quick reaction"

Someone else was asking about a Nighthawk AAC holster, so just for them here are a couple pics of a Mernickle, which is my favorite custom holster ever, the only thing is it's not as comfortable as a pancake stye for extended wearing, but it is comfortable. It hide a gun really well too. I use this as all the time, it is wicked fast.

Re: Nighthawk Custom Holster

I bought a set about three years ago. Took about three months, as I recall. Took a couple of weeks to break-in, but worth the effort.

Re: Nighthawk Custom Holster

Thanks, Sarge. I have a setup from Mernickle I'm just as proud of.

I called awhile back about getting a set-up for my 625JM, but Bob was out of town. Gotta remember to call back.

Re: Nighthawk Custom Holster

Mernickle makes great stuff doesnt he? I tried so hard to talk him into doing a PS6 with the Nighthawk logo on it.
I taught a class on saturday to a nice couple, figured since I was running the Nighthawk may as well carry it for the day, wore my Mernickle, still hard to believe how well that thing conceals a full size 1911. Especially for me, short with a small mid section. Excellent holsters.
