Sidearms & Scatterguns NightHawk or Atlas

I shot a buddy's Nighthawk at one range session so my experience there is limited, but I'm on my third Atlas. If you have the money to spend I would pick Atlas every single time. 2011s is their primary gig and they do them right.

I’m 2011 poor.

I’m a 1911 fan through and through. Own several. 3”, 4”, 4.25” and 5”. Multiple cartridge chamberings .

Earlier in the year I added a WC EDC X9. It’s been an outstanding. Carries only slightly thicker than commanders. 100% reliable. Extremely accurate. Sloughs off recoil beautifully.

WC hit a home run with these.

It sure fired up my thirst for running 9mm again.

That being said....I also wanted something larger-framed that I’d run hard at the range and have fun banging out steel targets.

I spoke with the dealer I used on the prior WC order. As luck would have it he had a TRS Comp on order with Nighthawk. It hadn’t been kitted yet so he could still make changes. It was not spoken for...just going to his stock.

I jumped on it. Added some cosmetic changes as well as their IOS system for RMR.

I’m not sure when it will be here. Wish I had the funds to buy a Staccato P-DUO as well.

Looking forward to it, though. Will have some 90 & 100gr high-velocity loads ready to test in it.....wanting to see how smooth the comp will run.

At that time I made this order I was unaware of the Atlas guns. They appear to be nightly solid and sharp looking.

Try taking a look at Alchemy custom 1911's. Cheaper than a Nighthawk and beautifully made. You need to be prepared for a 4-6 month wait time though.

Contact George an Migunslingers and you can save a few bucks.

Alchemy seems to be very solid and hitting on all cylinders....super products, fairly priced, strong customer service.

They have also released a 2011....or at least are taking orders for it.

Nighthawk is amazing....granted this one

isnt a 2011

I have owned an Atlas Titan and Nyx, but I have only shot a friend's Nighthawk. IMHO, there is no comparison, Atlas is the way to go. I have talked with Adam many times on the phone. He provides great customer service, and his pistols are silly accurate.
