Hello..has anyone purchased or used the Nikon P22 scope with the 150 BDC retical? With Nikon's balistic program, you can custom make a picture with your favorite .22 ammo, calculating and showing the hold overs? This scope runs about $150.00. I know it is only 7 power, but I competed with Lyman 8 power scopes out to 100 yards before with no problem. Any thoughts?

Re: Nikon 2-7x32 P22 Riflescope

I purchased one yesterday for my 15-22 and it holds its zero good. I was consistently shooting claybirds ( not thrown, I hang them from plywood with a tack I'm not that good....yet ) @ 100 yards and even took a couple 200 yard shots with ease. I would rate this optic 4 out of 5 stars just because it doesnt come with a mount or rings and is quite expensive for just a .22lr scope.

I got one last year and returned it a week later. I'm sure i got a lemon 'cause the groups were a vertical string of about 2" at 50 yards from a gun that shoots about 3/4" at the same distance with a different scope. I would have sent it in for repair, but there was a ringing from the elevation turret every time i shot that was kind of distracting. I've thought about trying another, but i'd rather save up a bit more and get something better.

Re: Nikon 2-7x32 P22 Riflescope

Russ, I've been using the P-22 BDC 150 since it came out and think it's a great scope. I recent;y picked up 2 P-22 Nikoplex reticle with tactical turret. I have 2 on S&W M&P 15/22's and one on my DPMS Bull barrel 22 LR. Iwould say both rifles have over 1500 rounds under these scopes and everyone I have let try them out has bought one. No, I don't sell any Nikon scopes so guy's have to look elsewhere. Here's a pic with 2 scopes mounted. Check out Nikon's
P-Series 2 piece AR mount too.

This will be going on a Savage Mark II FV SF, Boyds Tacticool stock, EGW base, DIP trigger guard and floor plate. I would like to put it inside tactical rings (torqueable). Any suggestions?
