Rifle Scopes Nikon blk fx1000

I'm about to purchase one for my .308. I looked at them in person today, along with the Vortex Gen2 PST 5x25. The glass was close, if I had to give an edge, it would probably go to the Vortex, though the store was busy and I may not have gotten the Nikon adjusted to my eye as well. But, there was not enough difference to warrant the extra money since the Nikon is now on sale for 739.00 with free mount and the Vortex was on sale for 999.00 then you have to purchase a mount.

I picked one up. A refurb for $430. It seemed decent....at least for the price I paid, but was a little disappointed when I realized the elevation turret was exhibiting phantom clicks.

So within a week of getting it, it was on its way back to Nikon. We will see how I feel about it when I get it back.

I haven’t handled a PST so I can’t compare it to that, but I own a couple Razors and obviously they’re in a different class.

Actually, I do not. I have only seen it at Cabela's and Bass Pro, so it may be their thing. I've only looked one other place (KYGUNCO) and they did not have it advertised.

Just picked one up monday for $600@ Cabelas. Non illuminated mrad. Shot with it yesterday and im very happy with my purchase. I cant compare to $1000 vortex, i have a leupold vx3 and a vxr. The glass is just as good in the nikon. My only gripe would be the clicks are a little "mushy" felling on the nikon. But its no deal breaker. Hopefully it warms up here above 20* so i can shoot it more.

Just got my 6-24 yesterday. No phantom clicks, etc.
I’ve ran USO the past ten years, but picked this up for a lighter/more cost effective hunter.
Really impressed just playing with it.
Going to range in morning.
