I think the glass is as clear as any out there.....haven't compared at dawn or dusk yet, Actually have one NIB for sale but cannot post b/c my counts not high enough......

I have a older monarch gold that is noticeable better optically than my mk4's on the same power settings. Since Nikon has redesigned all of the monarchs I don’t know if that would still hold true. My NXS is better in every way, but I don’t really notice it (optically) until I use it at 300 yards and beyond. Then I can see a difference in the amount of detail present in whatever I am viewing.
I have not used the other brands.
