Nikon P-223 3X32 BDC Carbine Scope Mounts needed. Just purchased this scope and it calls for a nikon mount. Are there any other mounts that will work for this scope? Anyone using this with a quick detach mount? If so what kind/mfg is it?

Scar, The Nikon P-Series 2 piece mounts are certainly not necessary but do make installation easy for the P-223 3X Carbine Scope. The short tube makes a 2 piece mount almost a requirement. Defintely having the flexibility of a QD mount would also be nice and scud gives you an excellent option. Post a pic when you get everything mounted up.

thanks guys im in the hunt for something here locally and will post as soon as i get it mounted. Anyone out there using this scope? I thought maybe a burris holo dot site mounted on top or off side as a cqb option.

Bart it nice setup. Does Nikon offer top ring with picatinny rail on it that will fit the p series?

Here's mine a DD SBR, I thought about getting an ADF Quick Release, I have one on my 3x-9x P-223 on my DD M4V5 but I never take it off and just couldn't justify the cost, the Nikon Rings are very well made.

scott thats nice. I picked up a set of warne tactical XHI model 603m quick det scope rings for 30 bucks locally. Got it mounted up and will post pics as soon as i figure out how to. What are ya thoughts on the warne mounts? I ran a set on a Steyer SSG69 i had years ago and worked well.

Look at Burris pepr or larue. But I have this Bdc scope and bought the m223 mount on sale. Like them both

Scotty, Great pic! DD makes great rifle's and the scope you added should provide you with some great shooting. I'm hoping you'll see some QD Mount's from Nikon in the future, I just don't know if it's the near or distant one!
