Nikon P-223 3x32 BDC on Dedicated Upper? Y/N?

I have a Nikon P-223 3x32 that is intended to go on my 5.56 SBR that I just received. It looks to be a pretty nice scope for the price ($150.00 w/Nikon Mount).
My question: Is there any reason not to use this scope (another one) on my Dedicated 22 CMMG/6.5" Upper? Is there better choices?
The upper is a YHM, 9" Spikes SAR, Fake Suppressor, (SS Sparrow Suppressor, waiting on stamp) w/Spikes Lower and Enhanced LPK, pistol with plug on tube thread until my stamp comes.

I just mounted one 2 weeks ago on my 22 upper. I think its a great little optic. I have only shot mine 2x so far and haven't had a chance to shoot at longer ranges as of yet. Don't worry about what others think if you like it use. I have had great success with the M223 1-4x over the past two years. I've done very well at the local matches.

Regardless of the name, durability is going to be an issue on a $100 scope.

3x makes it real easy to hide poor quality glass and sloppy adjustments.

Buyer beware.

I use the M233 1-4x, 3x Carbine, and the 3-9x EFR on my AR15. I have tried both the 3x and EFR scopes on my upper and have no complaints. All of them have the Nikon mounts as well. I compete and have never lost a zero in 2yrs and approx 20 matches with my 1-4x. During the winter I do alot of 3 position shooting at 50ft. Thats why I like the EFR which focuses at 33 ft. I hope to shoot some steel with the 3x on my upper soon. Buy it with confidence and dont look back. Nikon makes some great optics.

Scott, Durability will not be an issue with that scope. While I don't own one, I talk to folk's everyday who sing it's praises. Many are Texas guy's who love the 3X's ability to acquire target's fast and make an accurate shot. If you are looking for something with a little more magnification and lower profile, Check out Nikon's P-22 Series of 22LR scopes. I have 3 mounted on different 22 LR uppers and have not had any issues after 1000's of rounds. The 2-7 Magnification range gives you the flexibility to shoot smaller target's at longer range and using Nikon's BDC reticle, entering your shooting info in to the equation will further enhance your accuracy.
