I recently purchased a rpr 65prc. The barrel thread is 1/2x28.

Question 1: Is the Nomad 30L a good choice for 6.5prc?
Question2: The Nomad L has a direct thread of 5/8x24. For direct thread, is the only missing piece a 1/2x28 to 5/8x24 adapter like the one in this link?

Most people use a .30 cal suppressor for 6.5, although there are some 6.5 suppressors out there.

For a bolt gun with slow rate of fire, many will look for a titanium suppressor. If you will also use this on other guns, might want something more heavy duty (full auto rated).

There are many good cans, first figure out who you will buy from, then consider things like the warranty, reputation and longevity of the maker. Then what is in stock.

Nomad is one of dozens to choose from, talk to a suppressor vendor who carries all the major brands to figure out what makes sense for you.

I have run Nomad L direct threaded (5/8 x 24) on 6.5 CM, 6.5 PRC and 7 PRC. I have been impressed with the sound and recoil reduction. I have even had a few people at the range ask what can I’m running. They were impressed with the performance. Even on 7PRC it’s pretty quiet. I also have the Nomad 30 and there is definitely a difference. If weight and length aren’t a factor, I think the Nomad L is an excellent can for the money. Accuracy has been good as well.

I will add that I took a SH class last year and another student had a Thunderbeast. I’m not sure which model, but it looked about as long as the Nomad L and it was incredibly quiet on his 6.5 CM. I have been around quite a few suppressors and I have never heard anything so quiet. Everyone was suprised by the difference his can made relative to others in the class. It was in a league of its own.

The Nomad L comes from the factory with the 5/8x24 direct threaded adapater already installed. You can change to others later if you want to, but at an added cost.
