Is it still relevant with today’s solvers? I’ve been using the Nomad tethered to a Newcon RF for elr and it works well but, where does it fall for shorter range work? What’s the compatibility with other solvers such as AB? Will other devices such as the Sig BDX communicate with it?

It's actually better than most Apps and and is still relevant today

I actually went back to using it in a more consistent basis as it's not subject to the constant updates and issues we see with Apps. One day an App works great, next day either the phone is updated or the app is breaking it, 2 weeks later it is all back to normal

I just traded my NOMAD for a Juno to shrink the size up a bit

But honestly Patagonia Ballistics Coldbore and FFS will work together on one unit and they are better.

Gunsite still uses FFS, and Gus's Team just one the King of 2 Mile in Argentina with his software Coldbore

Can you print a DOPE card from this unit. Like everything I like having a back up.

With Patagonia on it, you can do anything printing wise,

PDF, Excel, it exports all the stuff to a hardcopy, very robust on the desktop, it makes a ton of cards,

FFS has some export feature and cards, but I don't use it with FFS, I use Patagonia for printing

Both are pretty good connectivity wise, and GPS.

FFS and Coldbore, in my opinion hands-down the best software on the planet...no need to rely on "custom curves" they work every time better than those and in case you need to tune them a little, they had a drag adjustment mechanism built-in right at your fingertips. Anyway, it would be nice to see some company porting or using Coldbore's engine on Android.

Did a side by side comparison between Coldbore and FFS during a Gunsite XLR class in September of 2017. FFS was running on a Nomad with Coldbore on a Juno. Out to 2200 yards the solutions were basically identical. Have both loaded on a Juno and FFS on a Nomad. Primarily use FFS on the Nomad when tethered to a Vectronix LRF allowing one to ping targets and build a range card. Used this setup at the Mimbres ELR match this summer and my dope was spot on.

POI/MV/BC differences between say suppressed and unsuppressed operation is a very nice ability to configure in FFS (offset profiles coupled with suppressed and unsupressed bullet profiles). Not that I run unsupressed hardly ever, but it’s nice to have the data handy regardless.

40 FPS difference typically makes a small BC difference that will show at ELR distances. Can be a bit complicated to the uninitiated.

By the looks of the screen shot i think it is a single wind zone.

Up on top of the screen next to the PS tag, the wind tag would turn blue if all three zones were inputted.

True. Yeah I couldn’t remember off the top of my head if you had to have just more than one or all three selected to get that to change!
