Hello All,
I have been visiting this forum now for a couple weeks and decided to join today. There seems to be a lot of good folks here with a lot of knowledge.
I'll admit, other than white tail hunting in Florida and some Elk hunting in Colorado, I don't have any other experience or formal training in long range shooting. I do compete competitively in PPC and IPSC which coincidentally is the reason I am seeking knowledge.
I recently won a "SAOD" .223 billet target/varmint upper at a PPC match. From the preliminary research I have done SAOD seems to make a high quality upper, but there doesn't seem to be much independent info reviewing SAOD. Does anyone have any experience with this upper or SAOD? Is the .223 round even really worthy of a build for long range shooting? Any thoughts or comments would be greatly appreciated.
