Looking for any info or experience with anyone trying 130 or 143 bullets with Norma MRP. Was talking with some "old guys" who said to look into it as it has similarities with RL-26 and I have seen some loads for 6.5 creedmoor using RL-26. If this is a truly retarded thought then please feel free to let me know as well!

Thanks for your time!

I have been trying some Norma 204 with the Nosler RDF 140s and the Norma Golden Target 130. It produced some promising results with both, but I'm still working it out. I haven't been able to get the MRP yet.

I was using the Norma powders to try & duplicate the load in the Prime 6.5CM, which uses the Norma Golden Target 130. It works really well in my RPR and burns exceptionally clean. The other components in the Prime are from Norma, so I figured the Powder might be too. I haven't sorted it out yet, but when I do, I will post the results.

One more thing - Have a look at this load data for the 6.5x55 using similar bullets with MRP and with 204 and others. Scroll down to the Norma Target 130 and you will see that you are not crazy...well, maybe a little, like the rest of us.

Here is a reloading website that has data for URP in the 6.5. Also Norma has some data on their website. I purchased 300 rounds of the Norma Golden Target Ammo and it shoots very well in my gun. From the ballistics that Norma claims from this ammo, it looks like it matches what the URP produces. I bought 8# of this powder from Natchez recently for $ 167.00. I have not tried it yet because I am waiting until I can find the 130 grain Golden bullets in stock somewhere, hoping to reproduce the accuracy with the Norma components, http://www.robsoft.nu/databaser_en/laddata/loads.aspthe only variable would most likely be the primer.

Just bought 8lbs of this, Any more 6.5CM reports?
Actually just started working on a load this weekend using Norma 204 pushing sierra 130gr HPBT in my 6.5CM. Currently at 43.2gr, seated to ~2.780 (+-.005) pushing the sierra 130gr. to ~2770fps out of my 22in. JP Supermatch barrel AR10.
Group at 200yds is sub-moa. Gonna go out again this coming weekend and see if I can push it up to 43.5gr. So far no pressure signs at all.
Edit: Also forgot to point out that it seems like the more powder i put behind it, the more accurate it's getting.
