Member Link Up North Carolina Shooters/Ranges Near by

Hi all,
Just wanted to check in and see if anyone is in and around the Shelby, Gastonia, Kings Mountain area or even Spartanburg SC or so. Anyone know of any 1000 yard ranges near by. Im stuck about an hours drive from Charlotte NC in one direction an hour from Asheville NC in another direction and Spartanburg SC in a completely different direction. Kind of new here just wanted to see who might be close by as not to many guys I know like to shoot as much as I do.

I was born and raised in Shelby, and most of my family still lives there.

The best places to shoot around there are almost always private land. I can't think of any decent LR shooting venues open to the public.

I was born and raised here too, I've come to the same conclusion I've even kicked around the idea of building a range for long range shooting, but with the price of land around here you would obviously have to charge a fee to shoot there. I know a lot of people that would pay an annual fee as there really is very few public places if any to shoot at unless you are a member of a gun club. I would also love to see a pistol range that allowed you to shoot steel plates and reactive targets.
