Nosler RDF Accuracy ???

Has anyone on this forum got RDF's to shoot accurately? I have tried them in 6mm CM, 6'5 Cm and 22 cal, no luck. The Nolser CC, Sierra, Hornady and Bergers I can get a load worked up quickly and accurately. Very confusing?

I found the 140(6.5) and 185(7mm)to be pretty good.
Especially with a good jump.

I bought a box of 500 (140 grain). After opening them and doing some spot checks I found them to be wildly inconsistent. Haven't spent much time on them. Might revisit them at some point. I know some people swear by them but I don't know what kind of shooting they do.

Ive used the 6.5 140s to shoot some of my best groups ever. But they were never consistent the way that Hornady ELDs are.

I tried the .224 70, 77 and the .308 175. Couldn't get any of them to shoot well with a number of powders.

Could never get the 70gr RDF's to shoot well in 556 or 224 Valkyrie. Plinkin ammo until its gone. Both AR15 platforms.

I've had great success with 6.5 140s, 22 70s, 30 175s, and 6 105s.

I had decent results with 175 RDF, but results with others have been lackluster and frustrating.

No luck with .224" 70gr RDF in 3 guns and 4-5 powders, so they were sold off. 77s were sub-MOA in a 1:8, but only tested a sample. 85s are promising in a couple cartridged including .223Rem, but in .223R they aren't fast as they occupy a lot of case capacity and OAL won't fit the magazine in my chamber.

I did have good luck with 185s in 7mm in a 1:9 but haven't thoroughly tested them either.

If there was a good sale, I'd purchase more 85s and 185s in bulk, until then Sierra and Hornady will fill the bill.

Ive had good luck with the 70, 85, 105 & 115s

Im going to start testing the 130 and 140s this weekend.

Im a big rdf fan.

I’m now using the 130gr RDF in my .260 REM going 2925 FPS. Pretty happy with groups at 100, 600 and 1000 which is below. Loading them 70 thou off to 2.94 COAL.

All RDF's enjoy a long jump to the lands based on my experience. They shoot well *if* you get them tuned to your riffffle

Yup. I jump my 175RDFs .065 to shoot good.

So far the 175s with 2000mr have been shooting well in my tikka. Haven't shot at less than 500 with em yet but have been doing what I need out to 900ish. I can't remember what my last set was jumping. I'll recheck em next time I'm in the reloading room.

I jump the 140 RDFs like 65 thou and they shoot good out of my 6.5 CM

AB CDM in my Garmin 701 was giving me hits out to 1200 yards with no adjustments besides entering in MV.

I hit my first shot cold bore target at 1,000 yds in an ELR match I just shot with the RDF this past weekend. And before I took that shot I shot maybe 9 rounds max trying to work up a load. I have the reloading skills of a dolphin, but I scored better than I ever have before shooting the RDF.

In my opinion, the bergers that all of you are in love with are more deserving of the criticisms you’re throwing around. I found the rdf to be VERY! Consistent.
