Has anyone hit a deer or elk with the RDF’s? I’m curious about their terminal performance, I’m a little hesitant to try them due to the small meplat but the new 130gr 6.5 bullet looks pretty damn good.
Any insight would be much appreciated.

175 RDF from a 20” .308 at around 2600 fps muzzle velocity. Deer was 200 yards away (laser ranged after shot). Estimated 150 yards away, dialed 0.2 mil up, and as you can see was a touch low for the 200 yard shot. I was also shooting downhill about 5-10*, and the exit wound is even lower. Entry wound wasn’t very noticeable, but exit wound was. I was suppressed in a hayfield and heard as the head smacked the ground on the spot.

I shoot a 6.5 SLR and I killed a pig with the 130 that was running 2920 and he dropped like he had been hit with a lightining bolt, he was around 200lbs and was at 300 yards. They work for me there was no exit but when I went to pull him in the brush you could hear sloshing in the chest cavity;)
