Noveske Butt Stock Opinions Wanted

I have a Noveske N4 14.5" Afghan model and other than the Vltor Basice Mod Stock, which I find cumbersome, what other butt stock which you suggest as a replacement. One of my chioces so far is the Magpul CTR. But I am torn between leaving in the factory confiuration and using the CTR or any others thar you guys might suggest.

LMT Sopmod is one of my favorites.

CTR seems a little more sandbag-friendly though. LaRue makes a bolt-on rail for the CTR too.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I have but that leaves the skeletonized stock too visable for my liking. Whereas the CTR looks nice and clean. I have a CTR on my SIG 556 and like it. However I still fighting wether or not to change the rifle from its factory equipment.

I don't understand the dilemma. Pick up a CTR (I prefer these too) just swap out the stocks on the existing receiver extension. You can go back and forth; its not a permanent modification.

SOPMOD is always my 1st choice but expensive---so the CTR or ACS
are great also--lots of accessories for CTR because of its popularity---(MOE)

I love my SOPMODS; I have two of them, but I prefer them on my precision ARs, for a carbine, I prefer a Magpul CTR, I can really got a sight picture a lot faster.

How heavy is the front of your gun (railed or plastic hand guards)? Depending on that, I'd go with the magpul ubr or the LMT sopmod. The ubr is a little heavier and works great if your front end is a little out of balance on the heavy side. Also a little more expensive than the LMT, around $260 :-( If price isn't an option I think the ubr is about as good as it gets.

Might want to check out the ACE Socom stock too. I'm pretty sure it's 5 position adjustable, and probably tough enough to chop a tree down ))
