I have competed a couple times in a 600yrd f-class match at MSSA in Memphis. I recieved a classification card for marksman in the mail yesterday. I was very excited to see it, because I didn't know there was such a thing. Now my question... where do I go on the net to find out more about htis program. I would like to know how many levels there are and what points are needed. Thanks for the help folks.

Re: NRA classification?s

Not sure where you find the info, but I had this written in a temp classification booklet.

F-Class Classifications

High Master - 98.5+
Master - 97-98.49
Expert- 94.5-96.99
Sharpshooter- 92-94.49
Marksman- Below 92

I believe these are correct, but make no guarantees. The points are average score per 10-shot string and I believe you must have 120 shots prior to classification.

Re: NRA classification?s

from the F-Class rules on line link above:

High Master ....................... 98.00 and above
Master ............................. 96.50 to 97.99
Expert ............................. 94.00 to 96.49
Sharpshooter ........................ 91.50 to 93.99
Marksman ........................... Below 91.50

Regarding initial classification and re-classification:

"19.15 Individual F-Class Averages - Competitors classified or reclassified on the basis of scores fired under
the conditions specified in Rule 19.4 reduced to 10 shot averages, those averages leading to classifications as
shown in Table III below: "

This means you gotta go to the regular rule book to look up 19.4. It is not in the F-Class rulebook.
