NRA's Basic Pistol/Home Protection Inst. Course?

Has anyone gone through this course? It's being offered in Virginia in April, and I'm interested. For just under $400, it's hardly the most expensive course, so I'm really considering it.

$400? WOW that is a gouge. It is offered around here as it meets the training requirements for CCW and the going rate is about $150.

Awesome. Figures DC would have ridiculous pricing. I'm also looking into a LE small arms instructor course that covers the pistol and shotgun, but it's in SC somewhere, around $500 for that course.
