Rifle Competition Events NYC-Area LR Comps

Finally have a usable long range weapon system. Will be spending this winter building DOPE and getting some much needed time behind the rifle. Really want to get my feet wet competing next year.

What options are there in and around the greater NYC area? And by "around", let's consider it a 500 mile radius.

Welcome to the club. Sheep Dog Warrior in Catskills, Granby in Southerner MA (Not bad of a drive once you get to Westchester), WAR in Tremont PA, New York Precision in Olean NY and MDPRS in New Holland PA. We have plenty of shooters from NYC, Queens, LI and NJ

I live in Westchester actually (just outside of White Plains). SheepDog was a significant part of my plans for DOPE workup/practice as I believe it's the closest 1K range to me.

I'll be checking out the other places you mentioned, thanks. Where is everyone's 'local' range? I'm at Cherry Ridge which I love as a facility for my family with the clays, handguns, .22 LR, etc ... but obviously it has its shortcomings on the LR side.

Sheep dog is the Only 1k range within 2.5hrs of NYC. Granby and Mifflin have 1K ranges. Griffin & Howe also has a good range but its like joining the Yale Club. I go to Onteluanee in PA for up to 300yrds

It was open for the New England PRS Finals last weekend. Maybe cannot shoot as a club member
