Oak Ridge has a number of motels available. Anything in Oak Ridge and you are 15 to 20 min to the range even if you catch 4 lights red, The west side of Knoxville is close enough to be at the range in less than an hour. Most are the national chain variety. There is one cheap one in Oak Ridge at the intersection of Turnpike and Illinois Ave. It has changed names a few times, I think it is called the Vista now.
Travelocity/orbits/hotels.com will probably be the best bet to check rates.
On Saturday Jeff said that the Butner gang was planning to come out in force for this one. (I'm going to have to go with him to shoot Butner this year)

Looks like the website is down.
I have not looked at this year's schedule but if it runs like the ones we've done in the past:
We shoot three matches on Sat and two on Sunday. All five matches are unlimited sighters and 20 rounds for record. (I'd bring at least 120 rounds) For regional/state championship type matched there is usually a sight in/practice on Friday afternoon.
No paid pullers here, everyone does pit duty.
Typically Sat registration is at 0800, Sunday at about 0900. (We can't start shooting before 11 on Sunday unless the rules have changed this year).
I doubt if any changes are substantive, if you planned on that you'd be ok.

We normally stay at the COmfort Inn...not cheap, but nice. About 3 mins from the range. No need for pullers as the carriers are so slick even a gimp like me can handle them. Be sure to hit Big Eds for pizza after the matches. Good stuff.

For short people like myself, the targets can present a challenge. I remember standing on the bench just to be able to reach high enough to mark many shots.

The website is not down, there is a link to the 2012 schedule just click on it, but it is under construction and is being moved to new server. But as it is, you can look at the match schedules.

Probably wont make Stars and Bars as we are running our spring 600 yard weekend at Butner that weekend. But I should make the XTC matches this year....or so I hope. With the expected gas prices, who knows.

Understand, I am trying to decide if I want to go to that or come to Butner, I want to shoot somewhere other than Oak Ridge and Perry this year.

I mailed Larry my entry fee today. Didn't see a registration form online, so hopefully the sticky note will suffice ;>).
John, it was great to see your boy on the line Saturday. I was glad that Jim never crossfired onto his target.
