Finally got around to beginning load development with my 20" 260 and 140gr Nosler Custom Competitions and I'd like some input from the hide as to whether or not I'm seeing this correctly.
Load Specs:
1x fired RP brass, full prep
Wolf Primers
H4350
140gr NCC .005" from the lands
I fired 3 rounds each in .3gr increments from 41.5gr-43.3gr with zero pressure signs. I know I pulled the flier in the 42.7gr group, but I'm not 100% sure if the one at 43gr was me or not. Am I right in thinking that there's a node somewhere around 42.8/42.9gr since the 42.7/43gr groups are within .1" both horizontally and vertically (measured from the groups center)?
I couldn't have punched the .3 out of that 43.3 any better with a frickin hole punch.
Since I didn't see any pressure signs at 43.3gr, I may try a bit higher and see if there's another node somewhere around 44gr. I'm thinking it may be somewhere around 43.8 or so. Am I on the right path here?
