Precision Rifle is the integration of marksmanship skills, gear and mental capabilities to hit small targets at extended distances. This two day class addresses intermediate-range precision rifle marksmanship. Students will need a centerfire scoped rifle capable of at least minute-of-angle accuracy. We recommend bolt-action and semi-automatic rifles with strong actions and sturdy mounts in .223, .308, or .30-06 caliber. Magnum rifles are not recommended. A quality magnified optic with finger-adjustable knobs and a ranging reticle (such as mil-dot or mil-hash) is strongly recommended. It is recommended your rifle be equipped with a bi-pod. Basic data book pages will be provided, be sure to bring a pen and a notebook. Students will also need 220 rounds of quality match grade ammunition, eye and hearing protection and range gear (such as sunscreen, bug repellent, hat, snacks, water, shooting mat, spotting scope, etc…)

Topics covered will include:

Equipment and support gear
Proper optic setup (eye relief, reticle alignment, etc…)
Drop (DOPE) out to 500 yards
Basic position shooting
Building a data book
Basic understanding of MOA and Mills

There are a ton of options and setting up a precision rifle can be the confusing. Our instructors are always here to help. Don’t settle for questionable advice, contact us so we can help you with solid, proven information.

Class fee is $300

Class will be held April 26 & 27, 2014 at Sandusky County Sportsman’s Club in Gibsonburg, OH

Sorry, just noticed the post.

We are only doing one PR1 and one PR2 class this year at this range. It will likely be a yearly class in the spring.
We can offer a private class if your interested as well.
