Does anyone in Oklahoma know of a good gunsmith? I need some work done on my FN SPR (bedding mainly) and would like to hear from someone that has used someone in the area.

Thanks

Re: Oklahoma gunsmith??

Thanks for the suggestion and I will call and talk to him. I was hoping to find someone closer to Oklahoma city area so that I could go visit in person and go over the things I would like done with the rife in hand. Thats just hard to do with an almost 3 hour drive. Maybe there will be more suggestions made. I am not in a hurry and don't want to settle and not be happy with the results.

Re: Oklahoma gunsmith??

I contacted Beanland about a very specific task I wanted done on a rifle of mine. It wasn't a couple of days later ( I'm in no rush, and I understand that they guy is being being good at what he does ) he responded, saying that he had not performed that particular task before, and be wouldn't feel comfortable doing it for the first time on a customer's rifle. The fact that he would turn down work in the interest of always keeping high standards has put him high on my list of Go-To guys in the business.

He's a couple hours' drive from me, but honesty and integrity go a long way in my book. I'd call that drive an investment, not a chore.

I dont have any handy, but I can get some. He does a lot of work for me, and I have had no complaints. he is a little slow, but he works full time, and runs the gun side after work and on the weekends.
