Rifle Scopes Older Bushnell Tactical 6-24x50 scope?

Found one of these at a local shop. Looks to be almost new in the box.... hard to say if its been mounted, might be a slight ring mark but not sure.

In any case its one of the older ones with the mil dot reticle. Guy looked it up in his system and said it sold for $640 when new, offered it for $475.

Seem like a decent deal for a decent scope?

It depends I guess, if it's like my 5-15 then it's ok. It had mil for reticle and 1/4 moa turrets. With all the options out there today I would say you could probably do better.

The more I look around the more I think you are right. Just caught my eye at the moment and I don't have any experience with them. Seemed like a decent scope though.

If it still has the user manual in the box, read it and see if it is a mixed situation with a mil-reticle and MOA turrets. That is a pain in the ass you don't need.

It had the manual and I recall that the turrets were 1/4 MOA.

I've been doing a lot of hand wringing on this......went back this weekend to look at it and found the same scope that was NIB...so he has two. This a pawn shop with a back room that would make a hoarder proud. Find something new every time.

So, the NIB one is the same price...$475. Still pass? Anything else in this price range with similar quality?

SWFA, and Athlon both make scopes that will demonstrate a better value than a SFP mil/moa scope for less than 475.

That's a decent price and they aren't bad scopes but anytime you mix SFP, mildot and MOA it gets to be a pain. FFP mil/mil or moa/moa is the way to go these days.
