1. If anyone needs to reference that video to learn that it takes longer to draw-rack-shoot than it does to draw-shoot, find a reputable shooting school to attend.
2. To repeat whomever said that someone trying to kill you might approach a little faster than that... someone who is trying to kill you will bear down on you faster than that. Like more than twice as fast:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tueller_Drill
3. 1.89 seconds to draw and first shot? Good fucking luck. Running might be a better option for this guy but he probably moves his feet slower than he shoots. See # 2 above and wonder how many times he could be stabbed in the face while still getting his gun on target. See #1 above and start practicing, with a timer.
4. Taking 1.8 seconds for 7 shots? Good fucking luck. See #1 above and practice some more, probably daily.
I won't waster more time with #s 5, 6, 7...
That video is for people who don't shoot.
It does take some getting used to...LOL
8 and retarded.
BTW, you were right about drining in Boston. should have taken the subway.
SJ is not that bad , Rome is the worst. El Salvador.
Never drove in PR so I wouldn't know. There are way worse places than Boston. As soon as you learn not to give in; Boston is easy. NYC is nothing compared to Boston. Everything is in a grid and drivers are tame...even the cabbies in NYC are pussies.

Agreed. I drinen in NYC, LA, Chicago, and Mexico DF. Austin is worse than any of those. They should take away about half the DL's and give them mopeds. But in Boston, the sheer rudeness and disrespect was amazing. People putting down their windows and threatening each other. I Just intentionally and for no good reason making it impossible for you to make a turn. I grew up where when you were a kid an exciting Saturday night was sitting and watching the fireflies and lintening to the trees gow. I think Ill pass on Boston.
Since you guys are being civil, should I carry my 1911 cocked n locked or hammer down?
Guys with glocks will be nervous to see that hammer back. Really.
Why?
Ignorance I suppose. I’ve seen it several times, usually from leo’s carrying a pistol with no real safety.
Just getting in on this conversation, should I carry a 9mm or a .45?

S&W model 15, cocked carry or down on an empty chamber?

I'm not sure how much revolver experience you have (apparently not much) but the right answer is NEITHER.S&W model 15, cocked carry or down on an empty chamber?
Cocked, all chambers loaded. Don't believe what the safety nuts say.
You're going to walk around with a COCKED S&W revolver in your holster?
Please stop giving advice before someone gets injured or killed. And put that fucking hammer down where it belongs.
Holster? Please! I just shove it in my belt. I've been doing this for decades. The time saved using SA versus DA has saved my live countless times.
Pull my finger.
Vp9sk and a vp 40, both chambered with hammer down.
If you have the hammer down, then you have a P30 / P30SK not the VP series.
The VP series is HK finally giving into all those that want something "like a Glock", they are striker fired with no hammer and no external safety options.
(Hence why I don't carry them even though I have them as part of my HK collection).

All six chambers full, double action for every shot.
No worries, I get all my training from the top experts.
It's funny that all the internet badass gun guys strongly voice their "fully loaded and cocked" way of carrying. Why? Are you walking through the south side of Chicago at 2am? Or are you at the park with your kids? If 1, yes, I agree on having one in the chamber. If 2, wait til you drop your loaded gun because you bought the $20 walmart special holster while pushing your kid on a swing, some other kid comes up and picks up the gun, all because you thought it was really necessary to have one in the chamber while playing with your kids at the 20,000-population-town park with 5 other people present. Use common sense in evaluating risk and whether there is actually a threat, or if you're just carrying one in the chamber, just to say you're "carrying one in the chamber".

It's been a while since I've read something so stupid here.
Do one or the other. If you carry and train with an empty chamber, what good does chambering it every once in a while do?
If you really want to be safe, carry empty and have your wife carry the mag in her purse.
What good does carrying with a round in the chamber do at the local diner with ~10 customers that I've been going to for 20 years? If I had a reason to be concerned (if for some odd reason in my small town a violent crime had occurred and no suspect yet found), then, yea, I may deem it worth my time to chamber. If I'm driving through the shitty part of town, again I'd chamber.
I have found that those who advocate so strongly for "cocked and locked" are some of the most ignorant and embarrassing firearms owners; we don't live in an active war zone, doubt any of you are raiding more than the fridge.
You and I may be perfectly fine carrying loaded, but I'm not dumb enough to advocate it to every Glock carrying po-dunk who has someone read this for them. There is more risk in them carrying their firearm loaded than there is likelihood of them needing to use it 3 seconds sooner and stopping a threat for the good of society.
