"She" should declare Austin a firearms free safe zone, look how well it's worked in Baltimore!
In 2012 the state of Maryland started talking about how they were going to ban supposed assault weapons.
The first meeting was in Baltimore with the then head of the Maryland State police. So naturally the crowd was quite mixed with a majority of people actually being African-Americans from Baltimore.
The lady I sat next to, I should say the really old lady I sat next to, was an absolute effing riot. Turns out she lived in Baltimore all her life and she owns guns because she pretty much needs to be able to defend herself. When the superintendent of the state police got up in front of the room and started telling people how they were only going to ban machine guns, as opposed to other firearms, and that’s all this assault weapons ban was about, she started chewing him up.
“You’re full of shit.”
“You’re just trying to take away my guns so I can’t defend myself!”
“ have you looked around Baltimore recently? all of us in his room need guns to protect ourselves.”
“ does your mama know that you are such a disappointment to our community?”
It was freaking hysterical for like a 70 year-old black lady to just start taking this guy apart...
“I’ve been mugged three times and you guys won’t let me have a permit to carry.“
When she sat down I told her How impressed I was... and told her that next time she should pull out the race card because if she had said you won’t give me a permit because I’m black, true or not, She might actually get one.
