Signed up for new online training, can get into the thread but video is just a blank screen. Have Windows 7 and Adobe flash, is there another viewer I need to down load?

They are HTML5 videos, not Flash.
Try Chrome as your Browser and see if that helps.

It is definitely Internet Explorer, don't use it, there is probably a plug in you need, but Chrome fixes the issues and will display everything correctly.
Internet Explorer is just an all around poor excuse of a browser and does not play well with anything,
