Opinions on "BEST BARREL" out there!!

If you had to rebarrel you favorite, best shooting BR gun that you were satisfied with completely, who's barrel would you most likely choose to replace it, regardless of the price. Bolt gun or auto, doesn't matter. What would you choose to, bearing in mind that you really like the barrel you're taking off and you want one at least as good, or better. I plan on building a new rifle soon and I'd like your opinions. I know Lilja is very good-- Walther,Clark, Hart, Shilen, and many others. Replies will be interesting, I'm sure.

If this is for rimfire br it's gonna be a button rifled barrel. The top barrels are shilen and muller in rimfire br. The ratchet from shilen and 4 groove mi mod or 8 groove from muller . Sam

Shilen Ratchet 4 groove, I have 3 bench rifles with this barrel.

I have 2 muller 8 groove barrels. One 1:16 and one 1:13. For 50 yard br I would choose muller 1:16

That is a list of PSL indoors winners. The guns at the top are the finest BR rifles in the world today. ALL the guns are pretty much pure BR rigs. You need a 2 oz max trigger. Bix, Jewell and FF are the only ones that any one uses in a Rem pattern. The barrels are Shilen or Muller. The few Harts are old. IF you want a new build and a new gun, get a Shilen or Muller. If you get the Shilen, get a ratchet. The octagons are good too, but the best ones are taper lapped by a select few guys out there. Shilen laps them straight. Paul Tolvstad does the Mullers, and they are top rate as you get them.
