Seems like a decent price and good optic. I like the locking turrets. Anyone have any experience with them? Or know of any other budget friendly quality options? Want to stay around $1000. 3-18, 2.5-20, 4-20 power. Don’t really care for the illuminated reticle. Want to use for long range shooting but also on a dedicated hunting gun to pack around in the mountains. Thanks

I have no opinion on the Hawke Optics as I've never used any or know anyone who does.

However, I have much experience with Athlon Optics, which brings many features at reasonable prices .

If you want an Illuminated Reticle, locking turrets and a zero stop:

Athlon Helos BTR GEN2 4-20x50mm APRS6 FFP IR MIL Riflescope 214109

And if you don't want an illuminated reticle, but has a zero stop, but no locking turrets, but weighs only 24 oz. :

Athlon Midas TAC 4-16x44mm DD SF 30mm APRS2 FFP MIL Riflescope 213070

The Hawke is probably an OK scope but why would you bother, unless it gives you something particular you want.

Burris XTR3i, Athlon Ares ETR would be safe bets for a US buyer.
