I would like to upgrade my rangefinder and am currently looking at the Sig Kilo 2400ABS and the 2400BDX. Anyone that has handled one, and used it in the field, what was your opinion of them? Im not sure that I need the Applied Ballistics program at this point. Main use would be hunting and PRS. THANKS!!!

Not to hijack your thread but I’m in the same boat. Have you considered the Leica 2800.com? I’m trying to decide between the two, I want the ability to connect to my kestrel and get the read out in my range finder.

The new Nikon Black RangeX 4k beats it's easily on yardage and conditions it will work in. It doesn't have ballistics though so if that's a deal breaker then Sig it is.

Personally would rather have the Leica 2800.com over the 2400. Both talk to AB devices.

Recently got a pair of 3000BDX, which can easily out range the 2400. And it means one less thing I have to carry.

Mine has been “good”, not great. Customer service was good when mine wouldn’t read past 300 yards and they sent me a new one after a couple weeks. New one has been “fine” but feel my first one would read stuff easier at long range.

I am NOT a fan of the battery, it last a while(2 years occasional use) but its a goofy size. Wish it was aaa or cr123a

The 2400ABS is a good unit, but having compared it side by side with the new Terrapin, in terms of image quality and function, the Terrapin is the clear winner. I also prefer the Terrapin’s smaller reticle.

I've got one and I've been able to range road signs out to 1900 yards. It has worked well for me. Ranging steel at 1000 or further, I need to use my tripod. I imagine some work better than others. I'd love to compare mine against a Nikon side by side.
