Opinions On these Chassis Systems...

So as I'm looking at my options for when I return from deployment I'm putting more consideration into chassis systems as they seem much more user friendly in that they don't seem to require much in the way of smithing...

Anyway as I narrow my options down I'd like to get some opinions on those who own or at least have some experience on these different systems... Pros and cons of each, and whether you would recommend them.

1) JAE700... I'm leaning toward this one for asthetic reasons (looks most like a traditional stock).

2) XLR...

3) JP AMCS...

Absolutely love the XLR. There is no way I would run anything else. Huge range of adjustability, as light as my last A5, built in DBM, no smithing required, and built like a tank. What's not to love?

XLR for me...Kyle is easy to reach everytime I called. Same cannot be said for McRee...I really like his chassis, but they never reply to emails or phone calls. Good thing McRee isn't the only game in town.

I did a lot of reading over a few months and decided the XLR was clearly the best choice for the money.

Now that I have it, I have zero regrets and am HIGHLY impressed with how it has effected my shooting thus far.

XLR, for sure. huge adjustments, many addons and upgrades from the company, and great customer service. they answered every question i had long before i ordered mine. also drop right in no smithing as others have said. great buy.

I like the looks of the XLR as well, but not the stock. I know the Magpul PRS stock can be adapted to it but I don't understand exactly how that works.

What I like about the JP system is that it appears the PRS stock is already attached.

As I said before, I like the looks of the JAE system as it looks closest to a traditional stock.

If you like the look of a more traditional stock, get a manners with the mini chassis.

Out of your listed options, the XLR is the only one that I have extensive time with.

I keep seeing "looks" in your qualifiers. I may not be the best source of advice, because for me I am really more concerned about the function of a weapon component. The "tactical" buttstock on the XLR works very well and can be adjusted in ways the PRS cannot. Additionally shooters who are used to AR systems adapt to the XLR Evolution very quickly. I have one of the new XLR Carbon chassis on deck now. If head turning looks are what you are after, then I can tell you that you will get them with this. It also feels considerable lighter than the Evolution chassis.

I think the JAE looks neat and the JP is sure to be well made (I only handled one of the pre-production models), but neither offer the options the XLR has.

Looks are certainly not the deciding factor but there is an aesthetic quality about traditional stock I love... And I would go that route if I had unlimited funds and/or wasn't just getting into LR shooting. But dollar for dollar, chassis systems seem to offer more bang for the buck without the need for smithing.

I would lean towards the Carbon XLR also. After messaging back and forth a couple times I was all set to order one but I came across an AI AX chassis that was used / like new for almost the same price of a new tricked out Carbon XLR. If it wasn't for the used AX I'd be waiting on the XLR.

One to maybe consider within your price point is the KGR W3. Just a thought......
