So I am somewhat twisting myself in knots. I am looking for a gun to cover varmints, range, and general plinking.

My first plan SW to get a factory noveske 18"SPR, then decided to go with an MSTN SPR. I am now window shopping an SR15... Larue is an option but have become mostly focused on those first three.

I don't think I could go wrong with any of them, but seems that MSTN might be the way to go based on Wes' reputation and ability to mix and match the best from any vendor, and build it to exacting standards.

I am not overly price sensitive but it seems like the KAC street price of $1800 would be significantly less than either MSTN or Noveske. But KAC is slightly shorter barrel which is a small downside since longer shots on coyotes and at the range are uses this rifle will see.

The KAC is in stock while the others may be a month or so. If MSTN was able to ship out tomorrow I would probably buy one and be done with it. This may be impatience as much as anything, along with the fact that I don't know anyone with any of these rifles.

Any advice?

I have a Noveske SPR sitting in the safe and I also have rifles comparable to the SR15. Picking one would depend on the ranges I intend to shoot at. The extra 2" of barrel picks up a little more velocity and the stainless steel barrel has more accuracy potential (Noveske barrels are very accurate) most likely.

If accuracy is your most important requirement then I'd go with either the Noveske or the MSTN build with a stainless barrel (potentially Noveske there as well).

If you want an all around carbine for run and gun and engaging out to 3-500 yards for coyotes then the SR15 might still fit the bill. Just don't expect 5" groups at 500 yards with it.

You could go to BCM and choose and upper then buy your lower of choice either from BCM OR elsewhere and get it right away and exactly what you want.

I do really like Noveske and I have an SR 15. It's very nice.
