I pick up my LaRue OSR tomorrow and I haven't yet decided what optic I want to put on it. It's a 16" version and I'm thinking I don't need more than 15x. I'd also like to keep it around Nightforce price, so not more than $1,600ish. I'm thinking maybe the Nightforce 3.5-15 or a Leupold Mk4 4.5-14.

I've also got a USO 3.2-17 on a different gun that I'm thinking about putting on the OSR and then picking up a Nightforce 5.5-22 for the other gun.

I know it's personal preference in the end, but I'd like to know what others would do. Thanks in advance for the input.

Any reason a NF works better on a flat top than other optic brands?

Oh, and if it makes a difference, it will be mounted in a LaRue OSR QD mount so that I can swap it out easily with an Aimpoint.

Not an OSR, but a flat top nonetheless; my AR with an NXS 5.5-22x56 NP-R2. I would go with a NF hands down if it is not out of your price range.
