I have recently moved into optic heaven. Until recently my best scope has been a Vortex Viper PST 6-24. Last week I decided to upgrade and sold my PST and purchased a Bushnell XRS Elite to put on my XLR Evolution chassis/Savage .260. I purcased it from Scott and Liberty and it should be here today. Fate took another turn when I was offered a great trade on a new Nightforce ATACR in a Spuhr mount for one of my AR15's. I have enough AR15's but never had an Nightforce so the deal was done.
Now the hard part. My other rifle is a custom build Mega MKM with an 18" barrel in .308. I have a 34mm ADM recon for the XRS and the Spuhr for the ATACR. So which scope on which rifle? The Bushnell is FFP and the NF SFP. I use both to shoot steel targets out to 1K but the Mega doubles as a shorter range gun. My thoughts are to put the XRS on the Mega and the ATACR on the bolt gun. I have a good laser range finder so I rarely range with the reticle at the distance steel range. I can see maybe doing that with my Mega in a more tactical application.
