5.5-22 is plenty of scope for a .338 plus you will be better of with the 5.5-22 due to its greater amount of adjustment. 100 MOA vs 65.

If you are fixed on NF the 5.5-22 would seem to be the better way to go. To many people think the solution is more magnification.

My TRG-42 started with a NF 5.5-22x56, and I have since upgraded to a S&B 5-25x56.

I think the British guy with the 2600+ yd shot was looking thru a 5.5x22 NF.. I have run that and a 5x25 SB. I like both
