You cannot go wrong with either of those optics... I know for my .308 bolt gun I have a Nightforce NXS 5.5-22x56 with the NP-R1 reticle and I love it for those distances... JMHO

I have a Nightforce 3.5x15x50 with the MLR reticle on my 20" REPR. Have hit steel with it consistantly at 600 yards (farthest I can get where I shoot). Have it in a Bobro mount. Has not let me down yet.

I would go with a badger 22moa base the arms qd35 mount and rings with a nightforce 5.5-22x50 npr1 or moar reticle.

Steiner 5-25 mounted with a Bobro Engeneering mount -or- Nightforce NXS 5.5-22 with a 30mm Bobro Engineering mount would be some options I would look at.

3.5-15x50 nightforce with the lv.5 reticle if you want something hold over based. a 3-20 schmidt would also be pretty sweet

I have a NightForce F1 3-15 on my LMT 16in. Its a great scope It blows away every scope Ive ever used or seen. In my opinion 15x is plenty of magnification to shoot past 1000 yards.
You cant go wrong with a Schmidt and bender or USO either. However If I had to choose again I would pick Nightforce again.

not the best of pics but i will take some close up ones when i get a chance.
this is a 22moa badger riser NF 5.5-22x56 in an arms qd35 setup in the "low" config.
