Hey guys...im about to make a major commitment to my first high end scope (over $1000) and I have my heart set on the U.S. Optics 5-25x58mm ER25MOA 34mm with the RDP Reticle, can you guys please give me the some honest insight on the quality and clarity of this scope...Thanks

If you have other quality recommendations, here is the criteria the scope has to meet.

    First focal plain

    50+ objective

    at least 25 power

and reliable (can take a beating)

and iv had my eye on this one as a cheaper option

    Bushnell 4.5-30x50 Elite Tactical 34mm Rifle Scope...opinions?????

i personaly think you should think about something less expensive untill you get your feet damp from this adventure. get a leupold mark 4 or a nightforce ffp, you cant go wrong w/ either of them, and then you can save 1000 and spend it on ammo. honestly why do you need a tier 1 scope if your not doing this for a living and really dont know what you need yet...

    night eagle

well the expensive one are better to a degree, i think someone did some research basically anything above $1500, the scope will have diminished return in term of cost/performance ratio. also seem alot pros using S&B scopes

If you have your heart set on it then get it! I love my 3.2-17 t-pal with erek. Very high quality scope. I don't regret getting mine one bit. ( my first tac scope)

Why 25x+ power? How far are you shooting out to? Hunting? With that said, I am a big USO fan and just put a 1.8x10x on my new coyote build. The EREK knob is by far one of the best features on the market. This is my 3rd USO scope that I have owned including an ST10 and SN3 17x. The build quality is top notch and customer service is by far better then anyone in the industry, especially if your like me and live 2 blocks from them. Since your in Murrieta, you can drive up to Brea and actually talk to the manufacture and order the scope the exact way you want it. Where else can you do that? If your around the area and want to check out a USO, PM me or stop by USO's shop.

i'm a noob too, which is why i went with the Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50 FFP for my first long range scope. so far, i'm loving it. and i didn't have to rob anyone to get it!

if you want the USO, you'll love it. although i've never played with one, they seem to get the bestest reviews. i have, however, shot a couple rifles wearing S&B scopes, and if you decided to go that way, you'd not be disappointed

Had too many issues with trying to buy a USO (guess they did not want my money) so I went with a S&B instead. In the process of building up another 700p and I am looking at a Bushnell elite tactical. Do you have any experience with USO or do you want one because they are on the higher end in terms of glass and function? I try and stick with a percentage of rifle cost before I stick glass on it just to keep everything in perspective. I use about 50-75 percent of the cost of the rifle for optics so when I went with a AIAX338 I put on a S&B, The scope on my Barrett 416 is around 2k and a scope on one of my 700P's is around 600. As you are close by USO, I live in Menifee, you should drive over and check them out in person before you buy one and if you want to order anything they do not have readily available expect to wait several months (3-6) to get it.

You also state that you are going to spend over 1,000; however, you do realize that a standard model 5-25 comes in at around 3,000 before any of the additional add-ons you may request

I received my U.S. Optics 5-25x58mm T-pal last week. I will be conducting a range report, and a first impression write up on the scope, and my R&D precision .260 REM..As of right now I am in awe of the quality and clarity of the scope. If anyone on here would like to try out my USO SN3 T-pal send me a PM and, I will be more then happy to give you a test drive. Also if you are SERIOUS about buying a fully decked out SN3 T-pal I will put you in contact with the seller I purchased my scope from, he was able to get my scope with every option that USO has with the exception of the internal anti cant device for $2800 to my door step.
