Night Vision Outside Diameter of PVS30 vs PVS22?

I need someone with a PVS22 (or both that and a PVS30) to tell me the OD of the front and rear.

Aadmount makes caps for the PVS22 and I'd like 'em for the PVS30 but I need to know if they will fit first. I have a 30 so I need the OD of the 22 but if someone has both and it's no problem to measure them together I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

If I recall my PVS30 measures 2.915". I gave up on looking for a flip up for it until I came across this. I didn't measure the other.

So 2.081 is the OD of the PVS22? And if the OD of the PVS30 is 2.915, then it's just not gonna work. Back to the drawing board. A flip up cap wouldn't be SO important for me I guess if it weren't for the ARD --if I leave it attached, the rubber cover won't work.

I have a USO observation scope that I'd like a cap for too and it's too large also (though it may be close to the PVS22, maybe close enough to make work.

My other option is to find out what the thread size and pitch is and see if I can't find a thread on lens cover that possibly fits something else. I'm kinda losing faith on that though.

There's a company that said they may be able to makes some later and another that said they'd be willing to possibly do custom caps in the future, likely carbon fiber printed models. But hell, that may never materialize. Oh well. where there's a will there's a way and if I don't figure something out I'm sure someone will.

I still run the rubber PVS30 cap on mine with the ARD. Snug but it works.

I’m a little confused here, so people put ARDs on the front objective lens of pvs-30’s. I never thought of that.
As far as large size flip caps over the normal 50mm scope type I’ve never came across any.

The D-740 night scopes come with a front flip up cap. I believe the lens is in the 100mm neighborhood.
Might be something to look into
If just the cap could be had.

Yeah, they make one. I mostly got it to protect the obj. lens a little better. I guess if I ever needed it on a 2 way range it could come in handy. A sacrificial window would be nice but as far as I know they don't make one.

I'll check out that one you mention --at this point it's gonna have to be a cap from another product because nobody makes one.

I did that once and didn't wanna break it. Mine fits awful snug.

What I've been doing is just putting the ARD on when I take the cover off.
