The purpose of this post is to check the level of interest in a new Extreme Long Range Shooting Area. Range will be private and access will be limited to "members". Tactical classes will possibly be held here also.

A small group of competitive long range shooters are considering setting up a range in Schuylkill County, PA. This range will allow shooting from 100 yards to 1,760 yards or 1 mile.

Also provided will be grounds to practice tactical shooting with varying yardage and angles.

Hanging steel, paper, and tannerite will be the primary targets at this location.

I have no information to offer more than what you just read. I am simply looking for interest.

Wow I would definately be up for that. If the site would be open to .50 rifle I know of quite a few people that would be in. Currently there are ranger that are 600 but no .50 and some that are 300 or less that allow .50 kinda a waste of powder and pojectiles. Also I'm assuming steel will be allowed?

You'd attract quite a few shooters from across the Delaware as well.

Have not mapquested it yet but if it is withing 4 hours of pgh, i would join for sure if it was open to 50's.

I sent him an email. I'm interested as well since it's about 2 hours from me instead of the 7 I'm currently driving to get out to TVP.

I was able to get a number for Jason and left (2 )messages with no return call. I don't know what his deal is. Just have to keep looking for a range.

I'm from Schuylkill county and haven't heard of any long range ranges nearby. I'll talk to my gunsmith this weekend and find out if he's heard anything. I drive by Hart's on the way home from work. I'll stop in and find out if they have heard anything.

Looks nice. I'm moving to the Bloomsburg area so that will only be about 1-1.5 hrs away. Found some on this website. Not sure how accurate or updated it is.

Talked to my smith today and this is where he goes. Said it's about 1.5 - 2 hour drive. Haven't found anything longer that 1000 yards.
