Im looking for some pack options....soemthing along the line of a Eberlestock but small enough for a DTA. Does someone make a specific pack for short bullpup style rifles?

Good to know B/C I'm getting a DTA in March of 2013. My monthly "descretionary" savings will just cover it by then.

The Eberlestock Dragonfly was my 1st choice - in the Cordura MultiCam pattern (military version).

As a backpacker the Eberlestock seems to have the best harness system and internal frame. Besides, as a cross country skier myself how could I not buy a good pack designed by an American biathlete? (Biathalon is rifle + XC skiing competition.)

I like my Eblrestock pack - But I have Kifaru too, and the Kifaru is better in EVERY way.. Except for carrying a rifle.

For carrying the SRS, the elbrestock is just so nice... You drop it in there, it disappears, but is safe, protected, and accessible.

Can't really go wrong with either pack, and the internal scabbard is just perfect. Holds the SRS nicely, with bipod and 3-15 glass on it.

I drop my DTA SRS in a Gunslinger II. LOVE it! Fits great, and as said before, it just disappears into the pack, or you can have just a little sticking out and not deploy the bottom part of the rifle case (I like this option because it makes setting the pack down easier).

Also, check out the TAB Biathalon sling for your future DTA. That's what I use on mine and it is AWESOME! Very comfortable to carry long distances, slinging up is quick and easy, and you can lengthen the straps to fit it over most packs too!

I use the Phantom pack.
