Gunsmithing Palma Barrel Weights

Does anyone have the barrel weight of medium and heavy Palma contours when finished at 24"/26"? Hard to compare to straight tapers when weight estimates are w/ 30"+ (~5.4# and ~6.5# respectively). Thanks.

something to get you in the ballpark would be weight divided by length then length times weight. Im sure actual weight will depend on caliber but this should give u an idea.

MP: 5.4/30"=.18 - 24"x.18= 4.32 - 26"x.18= 4.68

HP: 6.5/30"=.22 - 24"x.22= 5.28 - 26"x.22= 5.72

Weight is an issue but balance is an even bigger issue in my humble opinion. I went with a heavy palma for a match rifle and feeling an almost identical set up but with a medium palma was a huge difference. I dont go heavier than a medium now on any of my builds.
