Parallax for me has always been a problem. I have the knowledge to adjust a scope to remove the error caused by parallax, however, my problem comes in the form of a lack of range to calibrate my parallax knob.

I have a Nikon Buckmaster 4.5-14x40 with side focus parallax. Where I am able to shoot there is only a 200 yard range. So for any distance between 50 and 200 yards my scopes parallax knob is corrected.

Is there a way to calibrate the parallax knob on my scope when I am unable to physically take it out and move a target to various ranges in order to set the knob to the correct setting?

I have found the markings on the parallax knob are fairly close but not enough to allow me to maintain the best groups possible.

Hopefully, someone will have a solution to the predicament I am in.

Thanks,

Kyle
